How to Store RV ??

Please share HOW you Store Your RV in the Summer in the South.

Do any folks store their campers here in the summer and if so how do they do it?

Do you run the AC up around 85 or just a fan moving air but add some charcoal and cat little in plastic containers to absorb moisture. Looking for some advise.

We left our 5th wheel in the storage area here at Plantation from April to November last year, so had no elec. We unhooked the battery and kept the slideouts pulled in. We drained the water from the lines and added antifreeze, just in case. We set out containers of that “Dri-Air” stuff (you can buy it at Walmart), putting one in the kitchen sink and one on the floor of the shower, and left the refrigerator doors open. The vent in the bathroom ceiling was left open (it has a cover to keep out the rain) and we propped open the bathroom door to make sure the air could circulate throughout the trailer. , set one mousetrap and hung a fly-catching strip. When we returned in Nov. we found no problems at all, except that the door on the freezer part of the refrigerator had shut, causing some mildew inside that area. But no mice or bugs or mildew anywhere else.
